Mejdi Ahmad, MD received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He then obtained his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his internal medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and has served over twenty years in private practice. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our practice. He is a careful listener and takes a comprehensive approach when managing the digestive health of his patients. He is fully trained in all facets of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. He is a compassionate doctor who aims to achieve long-lasting relationships with his patients while getting them on the road to wellness.
Dr. Mejdi Ahmad has earned many awards and honors. These include Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctors Recognition, Newsday and New York MagazineTop Doctor Award for the New York Metro area. He is member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology, from which he has received awards and honors for his presentations and abstracts.
Dr. Ahmad specialized in all facets of Gastroenterology including treatment of acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer screening.
